Confirmation that my wonderings are valid (well, of course they are valid, I thought of them and blahh blahh). I'm just glad I'm not the only person who knows about Battle Royale (amazing, I remember watching this as a teen stuffing my face with friends), then heard about Hunger Games and thought, hold on, hasn't this been done already?
T.V show, teenagers. They have to kill to survive?
Without Battle Royale, there would be no 'The Hunger Games' This is the film that started it all'
Whether it's good marketing and PR in 2012, compared to 2000-I hope The Hunger Games (i hate the trailer) doesn't become 'the new twilight' as such (and has been said to, though I can't find the article), because it would be like pissing on a classic piece of furniture, with something from Ikea.
